WELCOME TO PATTAYA BALLOON FIESTA
The Pattaya International Balloon Fiesta is a magical spectacle of over 40 balloons of all shapes and sizes attracting an annual audience of 200,000.
Held at Thammasat University, Pattaya, between 10th and 13th December 2009, the Fiesta is one of only a few ‘Shaped’ balloon events in Asia, offering a colourful showcase of hot air balloons from all over the world, including the USA, UK, Australia, Germany, France, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Japan, UAE, India and Malaysia.
Organized by Flying Media Co., Ltd under the auspices of the Sports Flying Association (Thailand), the Fiesta has become part of the media landscape with wide coverage in all media – press, radio, tv and internet.
The Pattaya International Balloon Fiesta, now in its third year, builds international awareness of Thailand, showcasing the wonderful weather conditions for balloon flying.

About Flying Balloons
At the Balloon Fiesta there are no viewing stands – people walk the field and are part of the action.
Balloon flights take place in the early hours each morning, before the air heats up, and each evening, when the air cools down. Meeting time is typically one hour before sunrise / sunset at a launch site.
As the sun peeks / dips over the horizon, the balloon will gently lift off skyward into the calm breeze guiding it. The bird’s eye view is surprisingly detailed. Breathtaking panoramic views of distant mountains, the lush green valleys, picturesque bays, aerial views of striking golden temples and rural villages, are sure to take your breath away.
Seeing Thailand by way of a gentle free-floating balloon is the experience of a lifetime.
